Terms and Conditions

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Nexus from Multiwork, the AI agent designed to facilitate meaningful introductions, operated by AI Department Incorporated. By sharing your contact information and using Nexus or Multiwork, you agree to these Terms.
Definitions
- "Service": Multiwork, Nexus and their functionalities, including facilitating introductions, interactions, AI phone calls and text messages.
- "Company", "we", "us": AI Department Incorporated, which operates Multiwork and Nexus.
- "Nexus": Nexus from Multiwork, the AI agent that talks with users by phone, text message and in the app.
- "User": an individual who has created a Multiwork account, or shared their phone number or email address with Nexus and completed a conversation with Nexus.
- "Partner": organizations that agree to work with Multiwork to provide services within their network and share opted-in users with the Multiwork network.
- "Profile Information": information from your Multiwork profile and your public LinkedIn profile that is used to facilitate introductions.
- "Personal Data": any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person, as defined by the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
- "Data Controller": AI Department Incorporated, as the entity that determines the purposes and means of processing personal data.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age to use the Service. By using Nexus, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years old. If you are under 18 years of age, you may not use or access the Service under any circumstances. We reserve the right to request proof of age from any user and to terminate or suspend accounts of users who are found to be under 18 years of age.
Registration and Service Access
Sign-up. You create an account at joinmultiwork.com (with LinkedIn, Google, Slack or email) and provide a combination of your full name, email address, phone number, LinkedIn profile URL and professional details.
Conversation with Nexus and Terms acceptance. After sign-up, you can talk with Nexus by phone, by text message or in the app. By creating an account or completing a conversation with Nexus, you:
- Accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
- Authorize us to access and use your public LinkedIn profile information.
- Agree to be added to the Multiwork matching pool.
- Understand that your profile information will be shared with potential matches.
Text Messaging Program
- Program: Nexus from Multiwork. Nexus sends conversational text messages about your Multiwork membership: check-ins about your goals, replies to your messages, curated suggestions (people, events, companies and jobs) with a link back to Multiwork, and double opt-in introductions.
- Opt-in: you agree to receive texts by checking the consent box on our text messaging sign-up form or in the app, or by texting Nexus first. Consent is not a condition of any purchase.
- Message frequency: varies based on your conversations with Nexus.
- Cost: message and data rates may apply.
- Opt-out: reply STOP at any time. We will send one message confirming you have unsubscribed and then send no further messages unless you opt in again (reply START).
- Help: reply HELP, or email conor@joinmultiwork.com.
- Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
- Privacy: no mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. See our Privacy Policy.
Separately, if you subscribe to our newsletters or marketing emails, you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in each email.
Data Protection and GDPR Compliance
Legal Basis for Processing. We process your personal data under the following legal bases:
- Consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR): text messages and marketing emails, sharing contact information with matches after double opt-in, and newsletter subscriptions.
- Contract Performance (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR): processing necessary to provide introduction and matching services, and maintaining user profiles for service delivery.
- Legitimate Interests (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR): service improvement and analytics, platform security and abuse prevention, and customer support.
- Legal Obligation (Article 6(1)(c) GDPR): compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Your Data Protection Rights. Under GDPR, you have the right of access (Article 15), rectification (Article 16), erasure (Article 17), restriction of processing (Article 18), data portability (Article 20), to object (Article 21), and rights related to automated decision-making, including AI-powered matching (Article 22). To exercise these rights, contact us at conor@joinmultiwork.com. We will respond within one month of receiving a valid request.
Data Retention.
- Profile and matching data: retained while your account is active and for 2 years after account deletion.
- Communication records: retained for 3 years for service improvement and support.
- Marketing data: retained until you opt out, then deleted within 30 days.
- Legal compliance data: retained as required by applicable law.
Consent Withdrawal. You may withdraw your consent at any time by:
- Text messages and marketing communications: replying STOP to SMS or using unsubscribe links in emails.
- Profile matching: contacting conor@joinmultiwork.com to remove your profile.
- All processing: requesting account deletion via conor@joinmultiwork.com.
Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before withdrawal.
Data Breach Notification. In the event of a personal data breach that poses a high risk to your rights and freedoms, we will notify you without undue delay and provide information about the nature of the breach, its likely consequences, and the measures taken or proposed to address it.

User Conduct
Users are expected to maintain respectful behavior when interacting with Nexus and other users within the network. Multiwork aims to provide a positive environment for meaningful connections. Inappropriate conduct includes, but is not limited to:
- Using offensive, discriminatory, or inflammatory language.
- Engaging in hostile or aggressive communication.
- Making inappropriate personal remarks or threats.
- Deliberately attempting to manipulate or misuse the AI system.
- Any form of harassment or bullying.
Violation of these conduct guidelines may result in restriction or removal from the Multiwork network, at our sole discretion. We reserve the right to take appropriate action to maintain service quality for all users.
AI Phone Calls and Text Messages
Conversations with Nexus by phone and text are how Nexus learns more about you and your preferences. Calls are recorded and transcribed; by taking part in a call, you consent to that recording. You are responsible for any charges or fees from your phone service provider associated with calls and messages. Any information you share that is publicly available (e.g., LinkedIn profile, job title) will be used to generate your profile and facilitate personalized introductions. Personal information beyond what is publicly available will not be shared unless a double opt-in is provided by both parties.
Verbal Communications and Agreements
Any communications with Nexus, including phone calls, message threads, emails, or other interactions, cannot create binding agreements, contracts, or legal obligations beyond these Terms. Users cannot enter into:
- Non-disclosure agreements
- Non-competition agreements
- Verbal contracts
- Legal settlements
- Any other binding agreements
Any attempt to create such agreements during AI interactions is non-binding and void. Only written agreements explicitly authorized by AI Department Incorporated (contact: conor@joinmultiwork.com) are valid and enforceable. Users may not claim or represent that they have entered into any agreement with us through AI interactions.
Privacy and Data Protection
- Contact information sharing with matches: email addresses and phone numbers are only shared between users after both parties have explicitly opted in to connect with each other.
- Profile information: used to facilitate meaningful introductions and shared with potential matches.
- Data protection: all user data is protected and handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
- Advertising platforms: we do not share your phone number, email address or SMS consent with advertising platforms.
Internal Data Access and Usage
The Multiwork team has access to and monitors:
- User conversations with Nexus
- Email communications
- Text messages with Nexus
- User behavioral data
This access is strictly for the purposes of:
- Monitoring and preventing platform abuse
- Improving the product experience
- Resolving user issues and concerns
- Ensuring service quality and safety
While team members can access individual user data for the above purposes, we maintain strict data handling protocols:
- Specific user information is never exported or used for purposes other than those listed above.
- User data is only accessed when necessary for service operation and improvement.
- Anonymous and aggregated data may be used for product analytics and service enhancement.
- All team members are bound by confidentiality requirements regarding user data.
Third-Party AI Processing
To provide our services, we use third-party artificial intelligence providers. By using the Service, you acknowledge and agree that your communications and interactions with Nexus may be processed by third-party AI services, including Telnyx and the AI models it hosts, and other AI technology providers. Information processed by these services may include:
- Content of your conversations with Nexus
- Profile information you provide
- Public information from your LinkedIn profile
- Call transcripts and recordings
These third-party providers:
- Process data according to their own privacy policies and security standards.
- May retain processed data in accordance with their terms of service.
- Are bound by industry-standard confidentiality and security requirements.
We select providers based on their security practices and reliability. You can request more information about our AI data processing practices by contacting us at conor@joinmultiwork.com.
Service Operation and Matching Process
By using the Service, you understand and agree that:
- Your profile information will be visible to potential matches.
- You will be added to the Multiwork matching pool after creating an account or completing a conversation with Nexus.
- Matches will be able to view your profile information before deciding to connect.
- Contact information sharing: your email address and/or phone number will only be shared with another user after both parties have explicitly opted in to connect with each other.
Safety and Well-being Measures
We take the safety and well-being of our users seriously. While the platform focuses on making introductions and building connections, it is not designed for nor should be used as a substitute for professional advice, including mental health, legal, financial or investment services. We urge users to seek assistance from licensed professionals when needed. If at any time you feel that the conversation with Nexus or another user is inappropriate or raises concerns, we encourage you to discontinue the conversation and contact us at conor@joinmultiwork.com.
Partner Network
Multiwork collaborates with partner organizations to expand the introduction pool. Users who opt in through partner networks agree to have their profiles included in both the partner network and the Multiwork network for potential introductions.
Feedback
We value user feedback to improve our services. By providing feedback, you grant AI Department Incorporated a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable license to use, modify, and incorporate your feedback into our services without restriction.
Intellectual Property
The Service and its original content, features, and functionality, including Nexus and the Multiwork name and logo, are and will remain the exclusive property of AI Department Incorporated and its licensors. You agree not to copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Service without prior written consent.
Payment and Fees
Multiwork offers a free membership and paid plans. Paid plans are billed through Stripe at the price shown when you subscribe and renew until you cancel; you can cancel at any time and keep access until the end of the paid period. You are responsible for any charges from your phone service provider related to calls and text messages with Nexus. We are not responsible for any carrier fees, data charges, or other costs associated with using your phone service to interact with Nexus. If we introduce new fees, users will be notified in advance, and continued use of the Service after the notification period will indicate acceptance of the new fee structure.
Limitation of Liability
AI Department Incorporatedis not liable for any outcomes resulting from introductions or interactions facilitated by the Service. Users agree that the connections facilitated by Nexus are done on an "as-is" basis, and we do not guarantee success, financial outcomes, or any particular results from the use of the Service.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, AI Department Incorporated shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use of its services.
“AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” Disclaimer
Our services are provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. We make no warranties, either expressed or implied, about the operation of the Service, its availability, or its ability to meet your expectations.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, except where GDPR or other EU data protection laws apply. Any disputes arising under these Terms will be subject to the jurisdiction of Delaware courts, except for data protection matters which may be subject to EU jurisdiction.
Changes to the Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Any material changes will be communicated to users via email or platform notifications at least 30 days before they take effect. For changes affecting data processing under GDPR, we may require renewed consent where legally required. Continued use of the Service after changes have been made will constitute acceptance of the revised Terms.
